Just what makes Michael Phelps so successful?
Is it true he can take a 5 mins shower in 4 mins time??
Let's analyze.

1)
He stands at 1.93m. His arms span 2.03m. Which effectively divides into a ratio of
1.0518134.
Normal human being should be at +- 0.2 ratio of 1. That probably explains why he won the 200m fly by a fraction of a second. His arms won it.
2)
Next is his lower body proportions. Now i have this in common with him. If you divide your height by the distance from the top of your navel to the bottom of your feet. Most likely the quotient will be
1.618, what is called the "divine proportion," a number found throughout nature.
Based on photo studies, MP quotient shows more than 1.7.
And my quotient stands at
1.74747474!! Way beyond the divine proportion figure. HAHA!
I really measured okay. Dun believe come and measure yourself. And by the way my legs are really short.
3)
Got this from Speedo vice president. "When you watch Michael swim underwater, there are virtually no bubbles around the hand," said Stu Isaac, a senior vice president for Speedo. "Bubbles do nothing but make you lose power. You can create a greater surface area for the size of the hand and use power to direct the force of water, but that's almost impossible to teach and measure. We'd go crazy if we really tried to break it down by computer."
Hard to believe there isn't bubbles in the water when u swim.
4)
He is said to be
double jointed on his ankles. If im not wrong, if u have double joint, you become more flexible and the angle of bending is more. Thus he can get more momentum from each stroke he performs. Although you are more prone to injuries because of this.
But of course guys, let's not take away the success because of his physique superiority. I believe he puts in more effort than the other to achieve the 8 gold medals.
Kudos to him, the greatest Olympian ever.
